Database of the Week

I will be spotlighting a new library database every Monday!

This week's database is the New York Times historical newspapers. The New York Times database allows you to search the complete text of the New York Times from 1851-2003 and retrieve PDF images of original articles, including photographs and drawings, obituaries, birth and marriage announcements, and advertisements. Supplements, including the Magazine and the Book Review, are also included.

The content in this database will always be two years behind the present. For current New York Times articles, see LexisNexis Academic News (text only from 1980 to present).

Summer Hours 2006

Over the summer, variations in the University Libraries hours correspond with the Summer Sessions and interim periods.

Basically, Bracken Library will remain open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. from Sunday through Thursday whenever classes are in session and will close at midnight during interim periods. Check the online calendar for weekend and holiday hours.

My personal hours will shift to 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. for the entire summer.
